A local sheetmetal fabrication company is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Manager to join their team! The current Manager is retiring after many years with the company, seeking his replacement. Description below:

The corporate HQ is 130k sq ft. Several other locations throughout the Eastern seaboard, however travel to these locations is not required.
5 direct reports (3 Maintenance Techs, Purchasing Agent and Executive Assistant)
90 employees total in facility
Company grew 24% last year with more growth projected in 2026

• Office & Plant Oversight: 90% of the role involves desk work (troubleshooting, quoting, coordinating projects), with 10% spent on-site managing issues like equipment downtime or facility concerns (roof leaks, HVAC, landscaping).
• Escalation Point: The manager will act as the escalation point for issues at branch locations, particularly when machines are down. They’ll help troubleshoot remotely or lead the troubleshooting efforts.
• Hands-On Approach: This is a “roll-up-your-sleeves” role. The manager should be willing to handle tasks directly before seeking external assistance, but will also coordinate with local trades (e.g., electricians, forklift mechanics, HVAC companies) as needed.
• Vendor Coordination: Responsibilities include managing bids/quotes for projects, ranging from minor equipment repairs (forklifts) to major renovations (roof replacements).
• Fleet & Lease Management: The manager will coordinate fleet maintenance (trucks, box trucks) and oversee lease agreements and inspections.
