Overview:

Salem State University is seeking an experienced and skilled Facilities Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a diverse range of facilities projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

With a proven track record in managing complex, multi-million dollar projects, you will leverage your expertise in project management methodologies, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration to drive efficient and effective outcomes. As a strategic leader, you will streamline processes, implement best practices, and foster cross-functional teamwork to ensure the seamless coordination of all project activities.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or other related areas.
2. Five or more years of construction project management experience.
3. Experience with and ability to read and interpret blueprints, as well as a technical knowledge of construction assemblies and construction costs.
4. Construction/field experience, including working with historical buildings and public historical societies in multiple jurisdictions.
5. Expertise working through project management systems such as Procore or Bluebeam.
6. Experience and ability to manage construction budgets, approve certified payrolls, and process payments associated with the Massachusetts public construction process.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Massachusetts OPM designation.
2. Exceptional computer skills.
3. Detail oriented, organized with strong time management skills.
4. Team player with the ability to communicate with team members and management.
5. Written and oral communication in a professional and competent manner.

Working Location

This is an on-site, in-person position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities. Note: All facilities employees may at time be required to work outside of regular work hours and days to support their respective duties. Additionally, all facilities employees may be asked to support emergency operations on campus.
