Facilities Technician

6 month contract to hire Facilities Tech position in Bedford, MA (2 open positions)

Project description:
• The client is moving into a new $300M facility in Bedford MA. This will consolidate several other locations in the area into one.
• The facilities team is in the process of preparing the existing facilities for the move and readying the new space.
• There is a significant amount of operational readiness activities still taking place and the facilities team is very involved. This includes bringing utilities online, equipment moves and set up, coordinating a significant vendor presence in the building.
• The new HVAC system will cost approximately $200K month to run and manage.
• Longer term, these resources will be managing day to day facilities technician activities

Required Skills:
• Previous experience as a Facilities or maintenance technician with a focus on HVAC or Refrigeration
• Prior experience creating/updating preventative maintenance schedules and managing SOP’s in CMMS
• Previous experience reading schematics or P&ID’s to identify components/parts and equipment access points.
• Prior experience troubleshooting production and building system equipment to the electronic controls level.
• Previous experience with commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• CFC Universal Certification (HVAC tech certification that is specific to EPA section 608)
