The Licensed Chief Engineer is the Project Manager (PM). Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology. U.S. citizenship is required. Shall Oversee the entire project on the vessel and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all engineering equipment onboard. The Chief Engineer/PM works within a small select team to ensure that all maintenance is completed efficiently and to its entirety. The Chief Engineer/PM must ensure that all affected spaces are suitable for inspection by coastguard or other military/government authorities and ensure that safety of the ship’s equipment and machinery and its staff is the 1st priority.
The 1st Assistant Engineer should have a minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience on maintenance and repairs in a marine environment and have experience conducting inspections, surveys and repairs onboard US Navy vessels. Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology. U.S. citizenship is required. The 1st Assistant Rider Engineer should have a thorough understanding and ability to direct all types of inspections, repairs, and testing of marine equipment with a demonstrated knowledge of ship operations, reliability engineering, maintenance concepts, programs and procedures. Should be familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimate and technical reports for various ship repair projects. Experience shall include the coordination of technical personnel and management of subcontractors from numerous labor trades including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), riggers, crane operators, transportation and industrial marine trades. The Ship Rider Engineer should have the ability to effectively communicate the status of operations daily via written or voice communications, generate detailed reports in a clear, concise and prompt manner, and provide detailed summary reports at the completion of operations. Further, the 1st Assistant Engineer shall have experience using word processing PC based programs such as Microsoft Word or equivalent; and spreadsheet PC based programs such as Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
2nd and 3rd Assistant Engineers Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology. U.S. citizenship is a requirement. Should have a minimum of five (5) years' experience on repairs in a marine environment and have experience assisting with conducting inspections, surveys and repairs onboard US Navy vessels. The 2nd and 3rd Assistant Engineer should have a thorough understanding and ability to conduct all types of inspections, repairs and testing of marine equipment with a demonstrated knowledge of ship operations, maintenance concepts, programs and procedures. The Engineer should be familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimate and technical reports for various ship repair projects. Experience shall include the coordination of technical personnel and management of subcontractors from various labor trades including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), riggers, crane operators, transportation and industrial marine trades. U.S. Citizenship is required.
