Part-time Adjunct Science FacultyGeneral Responsibilities

General Statement of Duties: The successful candidate will have an ability to teach college-level introductory chemistry and/or physics courses, primarily laboratory sections. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both chemistry and physics courses. All teaching positions at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy require computer literacy, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an understanding of the Academy's unique mission.
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications:
- Have a master’s degree in subject matter, or other terminal degree/qualification (i.e. PE, MBA)
- Understand teaching and advising processes and the application of teaching and advising processes in the university setting
- Ability to teach science laboratories and/or lectures in chemistry and/or physics.
- Demonstrated commitment to support student learning and to promote student success.
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communications skills
- Understanding of the unique mission of the university as a maritime academy
