Assistant Baseball CoachGeneral Responsibilities
Please note, this is a non-benefitted, part-time, seasonal position
General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Baseball Coach will be responsible for assisting in leading team practices, workouts and provide game day coaching advice. You will also work with the Head Coach to coordinate recruiting efforts to identify, evaluate and attract prospective student-athletes to Mass Maritime. The ideal candidate will prioritize fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture. This position requires evening and weekend availability.
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications:
- Provide position specific instruction and teach baseball related skills effectively
- Previous coaching or college playing experience
- Ability to throw quality batting practice and simulated games
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends
- Have knowledge of NCAA Division III policies and MASCAC requirements
- Recruiting experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree
- Recruiting experience at the college level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of the unique mission of a maritime academy
