HEERF III

Federal Student Emergency Fund

Massachusetts Maritime Academy was awarded some additional Emergency Relief Grant Funding for students under the American Relief Program (ARP). MMA must spend at least $1,597,900 in emergency grants to students.

Eligibility for this HEERF III grant is similar to the awarding process used for the HEERF II grants.  Priority must be given to students with exceptional need as demonstrated through the FAFSA. MMA defines a student with exceptional need as anyone who has filed a FAFSA with an expected family contribution at or below $5600. Additionally, students who don’t qualify for financial aid or who did not file a FAFSA can also receive funds under this grant program. International students are not eligible for this program.
