Maintenance Supervisor (Licensed)
Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering or have a minimum of ten years of direct experience operating and maintaining Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems aboard U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard vessels. Applicants substituting experience for a degree must have an unlimited 1st Assistant Engineer or higher Merchant Marine Credential (MMC). Must have firsthand experience with control systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Develops work items, preliminary engineering drawings, technical analyses, cost estimates, and reports to support ship repair and modernization projects. Generates detailed work packages and testing procedures in compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. Responsible for coordinating and documenting both routine and emergent maintenance of shipboard equipment. Serves as primary liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government representatives, and ship’s crew to ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently. Additionally, leads maintenance teams during ship availabilities both within the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS), ensuring operational readiness and quality of workmanship.
