This transatlantic collaboration—anchored by PMC Shipyard, Bollinger Shipyards, and vocational schools—will design and deliver an adaptive training pipeline that responds to the evolving needs of the maritime industry and provides on-ramps for veterans transitioning into civilian shipyard careers.

The Shipbuilding Specialist/Expert is a member MMA’s core grant team consisting of a Project Director, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, and a Shipbuilding Expert who will partner with team members in Finland, Bolinger Shipyard and another United States academic institution similarly teaming with another foreign shipyard.

Please note: This is a grant-funded position with no eligibility for severance pay. ILAB, the Federal awarding agency for this project, retains the authority to approve all key personnel changes throughout the life of the award as stated in 2 CFR 200.308(f).

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) required. Non-native speakers must provide evidence of fluency, including a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score or transcript showing completion of advanced English language coursework.
