General Responsibilities
- Provides Service Desk support services including laptop and desktop support, software support, system and network access, and equipment loaning.
- Coordinates tasks associated with campus applications, including Blackboard, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office suite, websites and library systems.
- Triages Service Desk tickets to ensure tickets are appropriately assigned.
- Performs post-resolution follow-ups to tickets to ensure positive customer satisfaction.
- Conducts analyses and reports of tickets with emphasis on identifying and documenting solutions to reduce future incidents and to improve problem resolution time.
- Generates and maintains documentation pertaining to best practices, policies and procedures for campus computing and online services support.
- Participates in other projects, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certifications.
- Technical support experience with educational online systems such as Blackboard, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service to a community with diverse technical backgrounds.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least two (2) years of experience in higher education Service Desk support services
- Knowledge and understanding of the Academy's mission.
Salary
AFSCME Grade 16, Step 1 $56,700.80 ($2,180.80 bi-weekly)
