    Stakes are high at MMA job fair

    April 07, 2014 - Energy ran exceptionally high in the Massachusetts Maritime Academy's gym Thursday afternoon, where hundreds of graduating seniors wearing dress blues mingled with well-known companies such as Raytheon, General Dynamics and General Electric at the school's biannual career fair.

    March 31, 2014 - … not ones earned in a classroom! Two MMA alums, both admitting to not getting many A’s on their report cards while at the Academy, have both scored top grades elsewhere – Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. to be exact.

    March 27, 2014 - The Academy Band and 7th Company has finally come into it’s own! 2014 saw invitations from two of America’s “Top Ten” Parades; America’s first St. Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston and the country’s second largest St. Patty celebration in Holyoke, MA.

    March 12, 2014 - In January 2014, for the fourth year in a row, a team of eight MMA undergraduate students headed to Haiti. This year’s group obtained and delivered supplies to help in the ongoing humanitarian relief effort in Ile-a-Vache, Haiti.

    February 28, 2014 - Standing at the wheel of an 80-foot boat, state Education Secretary Matthew Malone stared out over New York Harbor on Wednesday, finding the Statue of Liberty and skyline on the horizon.


    Landing the Voyage

    February 26, 2014 - Throughout the past seven weeks the cadets on board the T.S. Kennedy have been challenged every day to live in a world completely unfamiliar with any past experiences. For many cadets this was the longest time they have spent away from home and without the use of a cell phone. It was a great learning experience both academically and culturally, and the students have created many memories that will last a lifetime.


    Very New and Pretty Green

    February 11, 2014 - MMA has recently completed its Master Plan outlining the construction on the campus for the next five years. Part of that plan continues the expansion and renovation of the dormitory complex. The $50M project expands 4th Company - out 10 rooms towards the bay and up 6 full stories netting the Academy 200 additional cadet racks (i.e. beds).
