Center for Maritime Training
The Center for Maritime Training at MMA provides courses for professional mariners and others in the maritime industry and government. View 2008 Course Schedule Commercial Maritime Training includes STCW courses, advanced professional training, renewals and emergency management programs. We also offer the Advanced Shiphandling in Manned Models program, a unique training module designed for senior-level officers and pilots. Custom training can also be arranged to help your company achieve its training objectives. Click here to learn more about Advanced Shiphandling in Manned Models The OUPV/100 Ton Master License program provides certification for the individual seeking to obtain a USCG license to carry passengers for hire. Offered in two formats, day and evening, classes can easily fit into a busy schedule. Testing is done right here at the Academy. Marine Education & Training offers courses for the recreational boater and fishing community. Courses include topics in navigation, safety, engine maintenance, and welding. In conjunction with the MIT Sea Grant initiative, we are able to offer these programs at reasonable cost to the boater seeking further knowledge.
