Massachusetts Maritime Academy considers the safety and security of students, faculty, staff and visitors of paramount importance in every aspect. We provide a safe and secure learning and working environment. MMA annually publishes our Clery report, which provides campus community emergency information.  

Reporting Crimes and Emergencies

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Public Safety Department provides a comprehensive program annually of safety, security, crime prevention and public safety services to help ensure that the Academy community remains a safe and secure place to study, work and reside. The Massachusetts Maritime Academy community is encouraged to report crimes, suspicious activity or other emergencies to the Public Safety Department immediately. The Department’s Headquarters is located on the first floor of the Bresnanhan Hall and may be contacted by calling 508.830.5000 ext: 1025 or their cell number at 508.726.0798. If there is a police or medical emergency dial 911. Calls are answered 24- hours a day. Campus Assistance telephones is identified by a blue box and is located throughout the campus and can be used to report crimes or other types of emergencies. Massachusetts Maritime Academy Public Safety Department has direct contact with the Bourne Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Massachusetts State Police Department to ensure prompt assistance when needed.
