Leadership

meet the Regimental Commander

"I’ve been excited to embrace this opportunity along the way and work with a great team."

Dominic

How would you describe the Regiment?

I would describe the Regiment as the structure needed for our success post graduation. Our motto Discipline, Knowledge, and Leadership is instilled into our cadets starting as a freshman cadet, embracing followership and eventually evolving into a leadership role as we get older here at the Academy.

How has the Regiment helped you?

The Regiment has totally increased my confidence as a leader. It has improved my ability to communicate and collaborate with others, and really learn how to help people succeed.

What do you bring to the Regimental Commander role?

What I believe I bring to the role is level-headed decision making and the ability to connect with my team on a daily basis. We work through problems together, and we continue to improve the Academy each and every day.

What does it mean to you to take on the post?

It’s truly a humbling experience, especially through these times. We haven’t had it easy for our virtual Change of Command and how we’ve had to adapt and overcome as leaders and collaborate virtually, and put together a freshman training program. As we begin to think about the fall semester, it truly has been a challenge. But I’ve been excited to embrace this opportunity along the way and work with a great team.
