Pre-Arrival Information for F-1 Students
- Pay SEVIS I-901 Fee
Your SEVIS ID (Nxxxxxxxxxx) can be found on the top right of your form DS-2019
- Apply for a J-1 Exchange Visitor visa at a U.S. Embassy/ Consulate in your home country
- Schedule your trip to the US on assigned date. For 2019 Spring semester, the arrival date will be February 22, 2019.
Your arrival date in the US can be no earlier than 30 days prior to the program start date printed on your DS 2019 form.
Arrange your travel
- From your home country to the closest Airport
The closest airports are Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) or T.F. Green Airport (PVD), both are 60 minutes from campus.
- Transportation from the Airport
Students can request airport pick up (if available) or arrange bus transportation from the airport to campus. If you would like to arrange airport pick up by school, please send an e-mail with DETAILED flight information (Airline, flight number, and time of arrival) to email@example.com. This must be done 30 days in advance.
If direct airport pick is unavailable, the following bus companies will bring you to a stop near campus (The nearest stops are Buzzards Bay, Bourne, or Sagamore):
The buses will drop you off a few miles from the school. You must send an e-mail with DETAILED bus information (Bus company, drop-off location, and time of arrival) to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange transportation from bus drop-off point to campus.

Arrival at MMA
February 23 & 24- International Student Orientation Weekend (Welcome events, Information Sessions on Exchange Program, Immigration Rules, etc.)
The week of February 25- Spring Orientation (regimental training and physical activities)
Register for Classes and Technology Information
All exchange students will be registered for classes in advance.
The Help Desk will issue you a Portal Guard username and temporary password. Please set up and remember it. It will be used with your MMA email account, Blackboard and WebAdvisor where you receive emails, check school assignments and settle your bills.
