Paul Ingeno

I am currently a Captian with Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) Fire-Rescue and have been working here since May of 2010. I was among the first class to graduate from the Emergency Management program in 2008.  It was due to attending Massachusetts Maritime Academy that I was able to do two internships at Massport Fire-Rescue in the winter of 2006 and the winter of 2007. These internships allowed me to show upper management my drive, skills, and work ethic along with a desire to be part of the Massport Fire-Rescue team. I was able to use skills like Geographic Information System (GIS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS), training during these internships, which demonstrated the education we are receiving. After being hired, I attended MMA’s Emergency Management Master’s program, and graduated in 2014. It is MMA’s forward leaning in education which makes the difference between a Maritime student and all the others. I can confidently say I am where I am because of my Massachusetts Maritime Academy training and education.
