First Transgender Suicide Prevention Hotline Now Open
The first-of-its-kind Transgender Suicide Prevention Hotline is now open in the U.S. The hotline is available 11AM-5AM eastern time, seven days a week. You can reach the hotline at 877-565-8860.
MMA offers many resources for students in distress. For support, please reach out to someone. The MMA counseling center is open Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM to 5:00PM (open until 6:00PM on Tuesdays). Safe Harbor offers resources to LGBTQ+ students through its website at www.maritime.edu/safe-harbor. These students can also find Safe Harbor decals located around campus that identify safe persons to talk to in times of need.
