This individual will be enrolled in our operations job rotation program and have the opportunity to learn and experience all facets of the department by spending six (6) to 12 months in various roles including, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Shipper, and Delivery Management.

This individual will be enrolled in our operations job rotation program and have the opportunity to learn and experience all facets of the department by spending six (6) to 12 months in various roles including, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Shipper, and Delivery Management.

The hours for this position are on our night shift: 9 PM - 6 AM.

Position Responsibilities:

Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory shrinkage and breakage transactions on a weekly basis
Create and maintain all files within the VIP system with concerns of inventory
Assist with inventory counts and audits
Maintain code date information
Assist in tracking and maintaining UPC codes

Warehouse Management:
Direct the placement of new products in the warehouse, as well as perform regular maintenance of item locations
Work with warehouse and maintenance staff and track activity
Work with the night shift (6:00pm-2:00am) to learn loading operations and order picking procedures
Manage and schedule all incoming deliveries to the warehouse
Manage incoming and outgoing transfers between our family of distributors
Ensure that all orders have been entered into the mainframe computer
Check orders for quantity, product, package and rectify order problems and missing orders
Coordinate shipping of any backorders
Assign orders to routes, produce invoices and load (pallet) sheets
Maintain maps by town of delivery territories
Schedule proper number of operations personnel each day with delivery manager
Aid in communication between drivers, night-shift supervisors, delivery manager, and other management personnel
Resolution of customer complaints; dispatching of special deliveries or missed orders

Shipper:
Ensure that all orders have been entered into the mainframe computer
Check orders for quantity, product, package and rectify order problems and missing orders
Coordinate shipping of any backorders
Devise delivery routes
Assign orders to routes, produce invoices and load (pallet) sheets
Maintain maps by town of delivery territories
Schedule proper number of operations personnel each day with delivery manager
Aid in communication between drivers, night-shift supervisors, delivery manager, and other management personnel
Resolution of customer complaints; dispatching of special deliveries or missed orders

Delivery Management:
Work with delivery personnel and procedures in a way that maximizes productivity, safety and service to retailers
Daily dispatch of delivery personnel
Devise delivery routes
Conduct regular checks on delivery drivers
Coordinate maintenance of vehicles and other delivery equipment
Oversee code rotation efforts and pickup of any outdated products

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to travel to other locations as required
Ability and willingness to work independently
Strong math and analytical skills
