Operate and maintain plant equipment in support of O&M contractual obligations. Serve as lead operator for plant operations.

Essential Functions:

Perform all functions required of Plant -Operator.

Provide Oversight of O&M activities under direction of the Engineer In Charge or designee.

Assist in assignment of work activities. Provide input and report to assigned Plant Manager or Designee.

Maintain and update plant O&M procedures and policies as directed.

Oversee water treatment vendor and manage water treatment program, report deficiencies to Plant Manager or Designee.

Track and report on Plant efficiency and performance, as directed

Support plant safety and environmental testing and reporting activities, as directed.

Interface with Customer on issues concerning water, fuel, and electricity supply.

Assist in development and production of monthly performance reports.

Oversee plant RCM related predictive maintenance activities, including Vibration and lube oil analysis; report deficiencies to Manager or designee.

Act as operations leader on project related improvements and repair activities.

Oversee and assign plant housekeeping tasks to ensure plant cleanliness.

Assist in training of other Plant - Operators

Assist others as required, and perform all other related duties.

Job requirements:
Competencies/Qualifications:

Skills:
All skills required as Plant – Operator. Knowledge of and ability to utilize CMMS system to generate and process work orders. Ability to use computer software including spreadsheets, word processing and

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. BS in engineering discipline preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
MA 2nd Class Engineer’s License

Machinery/Equipment:
Required to wear a half-face respirator or powered air respirators (PAPR) where proper safety procedures warrant their use.

Physical Activities/Demands:

Requires lifting and / or operating machinery, tools, etc. weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.

Employee will be required to work in confined spaces, climb ladders and /or stairs, and work in hot areas.
