International Import/Export Coordinator

The International Import/Export Coordinator will join a growing team, support daily logistics operations and manage relationships with transportation providers. Position Highlights:

- Comply with TSA, US Customs, FMC and any other regulatory government entity

- Coordinate internally with finance and business partners, freight forwarders, and 3PLs for timely and accurate shipment releases and deliveries.

- Work with carriers to schedule shipments, track shipment status and provide customers with status updates

- Oversee customer communications and coordination

- Demonstrate a proactive approach to managing a diverse workload in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Exercise sound judgement and model a high degree of personal accountability

- Display a strong sense of urgency in researching, tracking and correcting transportation challenges, working directly with clients/vendors to resolve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner

- Work with carriers to provide transportation quotes to clients

- Become fluent with TMS system and create all required documentation in a timely fashion

- Follow up with airlines, steamship lines, trucking companies, customer, agents as necessary

- Create and audit for accuracy BLs, AWBs, BOLs or any transportation document required to move a shipment

- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

- This is a “hands on” processing role

- Position may require working a holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and requirements of the account

- Strong analytical skills: financial and operational

- Fluency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)

Preferred Skills:

- 2+ years of domestic & international transportation/traffic/logistics experience preferred

- Bachelor’s degree or higher

- Experience with Cargowise

- Bilingual a plus
