We are seeking a SEASONAL FULL-TIME PORT AGENT to join our BOSTON TEAM

SUMMARY: The Port Agent is to be the main point of contact with Cruise Vessels, Port Authorities and Customs and Border Protection. The Agent will be responsible for ensuring a high standard quality of services through oversight of our day to day operations in order to achieve the development of the business and client satisfaction.

Responsabiities:
Be the main point of contact with participants such as CBP, Port Authorities, Cruise Lines Representatives, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
To ensure follow up, escalation and registration of incidents during a call.
To produce and maintain operating standards for port agency services.
Lead and motivate others with a positive attitude and in a professional manner at all times.
To Maintain & Develop positive & solid relations with all service providers.
Reconfirmation of all services related to the Vessel’s call such as pilot orders, line and labor orders, equipment for handling of stores and/or baggage, potable water, bunkering, and waste removal.
Prepare all entrance and clearance documents necessary to clear the Vessel
Notify Customs, Immigration, Coast Guard and all other governmental authorities that law or practice requires to be notified as to Vessel’s arrival
Have berth or tender landing prepared for safe and comfortable use by passengers, officers, and crew
Arrange gangways and other necessary means of access to the Vessel.
Assist in clearance of the Vessel, (provide explanations for passengers, officers, and crew as to the local procedures for clearing Customs, and assist passengers, officers, and crew in clearing Customs).
Throughout the entire stay of the Vessel, be present, onboard if required or near the Vessel with short notice call via telephone or VHF, as appropriate under the circumstances.
Handle the Vessel's mail including forwarding of all packages and goods sent for delivery to the Vessel
Make security arrangements as customary in the Port or as specially requested by vessel
Arrange for hospitalization, medical consultations and related transportation of officers and crew as directed.
Arrange for hotel reservations and transportation of officers and crew and for medically disembarked guests
Assist officers and crew left behind in arranging transport to the next port of call or other destination as requested.
Forward all documents, Vessel's mail, baggage, and other passenger claims, to lost and found as directed or requested
Represent Intercruises and/or the Vessel in the Port where necessary or as, and when, directed by Intercruises.
This Job Description is not all-inclusive and will be reviewed and revised periodically to meet the needs of the operation.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of Port Agency Operations and Vessel Operations
Highly organized and methodical person, with the ability to perform both independently and in Supervisory role fostering teamwork;
Flexibility to work a variable schedule, days or evenings including weekends and holidays and excellent disposition to deal with last minute changes
Willingness to travel to support Seasonal Out-Port Operations as needed.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, often the entire shift (6-8 hours)
Able to relocate within the U.S. for seasonal operations when/or if business demands
Good Written and Communication skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of Customer Service in very demanding situations;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
