Equipment Asset Inventory Specialist
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations & Maintenance, the Equipment Asset Inventory Specialist will lead the development of asset inventorying, which includes boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, generators, and other building equipment requiring preventive maintenance. They will learn how to utilize an efficient process for collecting this information.
This position will be responsible for creating the foundational element that will be required in the development of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for a client that operates and maintains more than 100 million square feet of space. The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying all types of equipment found on a building’s roof and mechanical rooms throughout the building, which may require preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of equipment inventory specialists to ensure a comprehensive and accurate inventory of equipment is collected, recorded and maintained. The ideal candidate must also utilize a computer to record the data and create an executional strategy that is consistent.

5+ years in the building maintenance
Understanding of the importance of having a comprehensive and accurate equipment inventory as part of a preventive maintenance program
Be able to accurately identify building operating equipment found in a typical mechanical room and roof area.
Understand the different types of equipment such as chillers (centrifugal, absorption, et) and boilers (firetube, watertube, cast iron sectional, etc)
Desire to learn about Preventive Maintenance Best Practices and how a comprehensive equipment list is the foundational element towards creating a program
A College or Technical Degree preferred, but the substitution of industry experience will be considered
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
