Ameresco is currently seeking a talented College Student to support our Solar PV team as an Engineering Assistant in Framingham, MA.

Full Job Description


Exposure to solar project development, learning how a project is conceptualized and subsequently made a reality;
Assisting with a large variety of assignments including project feasibility studies, interconnection analysis, regulatory research, site plan creation, energy modeling, utility rate analysis, project budgeting, and administration of operating facilities;
Collaborate with Senior Solar PV Engineers, Project Development Managers, and sales personnel to develop, design, and estimate costs of solar PV and energy storage projects
Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate business opportunities for solar PV and energy storage
Provide assistance with technical and financial analyses of PV and energy storage programs
Assist with the implementation of solar management software
Assist with sales and management reporting
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Progress towards a graduate or undergraduate degree in Engineering, Energy Systems or Environmental Sciences.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter, able to work independently and develop good working relationships with junior and senior Solar PV team staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
Excellent computer skills including strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Strong verbal, written, technical communication and presentation skills.
Prior work experience in solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies a plus.
