Primary Purpose of Position:

Support, monitor, and facilitate engineering operations for existing assets, new development, and acquisition projects in the regional portfolio.


-Oversee regional procurement for energy including Electricity, District Steam and Natural Gas. Develop RFP’s and pricing strategies for a diverse portfolio of assets. Track consumption of utilities on a region wide basis.
-Assist VP, Engineering with new development projects, including drawing review, submittal review and transition from construction to operations.
-Serve as the Regional Energy Manager responsible for cost efficient building operations, utilizing existing EIS systems. Provide recommendations and corrective actions to help curtail energy use.
-Participate in National and Regional working teams, including Safety Committee, IAQ and BMS Services.
-Liaison and help coordinate efforts between property management and information systems department
-Develop and implement a tracking system to support oversight of regional policies and procedures, including NFPA 92 testing, ASHRAE 188 WMP compliance and Arc Flash/Short Circuit Coordination studies.
-Procure and evaluate bid proposals for Regional service contracts e.g. water treatment, vertical transportation, Building Inspections electrical and mechanical services.
-Assist VP, Engineering in annual development of property budgets including utilities/Engineering contract labor and other regional initiatives.
-Review Angus Anywhere preventative maintenance, loss control and service call programs. Manage work productivity thru service call and preventive maintenance program reporting.
-Provide oversight of regional contracts with vendors and consultants. Ensure contracted maintenance, repair and services conform to contract requirements.
-Oversee the regional property operations audits to confirm compliance with operations and maintenance programs including: service call programs, preventative maintenance, loss -prevention activities, safety training, hazardous materials, OSHA compliance, water treatment and record keeping.
-Review tenant and base building renovation plans and specifications, providing comments relating to design problems or conflicts to existing building systems or structures.
-Assist in developing standard operating procedures for the engineering teams.
-Represent Property Management at tenant construction meetings as necessary.
