Atlantic Technical Management provides vetting and marine services to clients in the United States, Canada, and Caribbean. Our company has been in business for over 25 years and we currently have open positions for Category I vetting inspectors in the TriState Area (PA/NY/NJ) and in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has strong communication skills and a strong working knowledge of tankship operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work a flex schedule.

Requirements:

A Master, Chief Officer and/or Chief or First Assistant Engineers license (Unlimited Tonnage/Horsepower upon Oceans)
Five years actual sea service (1825 days) on oil tankers, with at least two years as a senior officer(Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, or First/Second Assistant Engineer) on tankers.
Certificate of advanced training for the type of vessel to be inspected (oil, chemical, or gas)
Excellent communication and administrative skills
Exceptional organization and time management skills
Ability to meet all assigned deadlines

Training to become a Category I vetting inspector involves accompanied inspections with current ATM inspectors, attendance to an initial training course and audit (1 week classroom based training and onboard audit). ATM will facilitate attendance to the accompanied inspections, training course, and audit.
