The IMB Center
Dr. Ani Dasgupta is the Director of the IMB Center where the emphasis on solving practical problems is primary. Through the initiative of the center, faculty and staff are able to practically support various businesses by applying the knowledge learnt or researched in the IMB program. There is direct and clear value being added through the center. The Center will also hosts faculty from various fields to feature their research in the IMB Center Lecture Series. The inaugural lecture on Arctic shipping was delivered by Dr. Captain Ashok Pandey covering the cutting edge subject of mapping shipping routes within the northwest passage using eNavigation.
In March 2019, Dr. Laurel Goulet delivered a compelling paper at the IMB Center, titled, 'Leader Development and the “Coach-Approach" to Mentoring: An Action Research Project.' Dr. Laurel Goulet is also the recipient of a top honour for the best exercise award at the annual Experiential Learning Association conference, held in conjunction with the Eastern Academy of Management in Wilmington, DE. Her experiential exercise and paper entitled "I don't believe I have any special privilege: A two-part exercise to reduce student resistance to the concept of white privilege" was selected as the best exercise of the year.
