For over 100 years, Massachusetts Maritime Academy has been preparing women and men for exciting and rewarding careers on land and sea. As the nation's finest co-ed maritime college, MMA challenges students to succeed by balancing a unique regimented lifestyle with a typical four-year college environment. As a member of the cadet corps you will live, study, sail, work and play in an atmosphere that encourages you to be your best.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)/Sheltering program educates students about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Students are trained with the Shelter Field Guide, which provides best practices for shelter operations.
Spring 2019 CERT class will be held in the MMA Admiral's Hall, for 5 evenings, (6pm-8pm).
Download and fill the CORI and application forms, then bring to the first class and hand into the instructor.
If you have any questions, contact Ms. McEnroe-Kent (email@example.com/office - KZ217).
The training schedule for the spring will be posted in February 2019.
