New Student Registration

 

New student registration is for first-year and  transfer students.


Fall of 2021 Registration for incoming students will take place in early June after applicants have been accepted and paid their enrollment fee. This year we will be holding virtual registration sessions on June 9, 10, 12, 14 and 15. Registration for these sessions will open on May 9th. 

Register for your session
 

Students who do not attend a registration session will automatically be registered for a full-time schedule based on their placement, prior credits, and program requirements.  These schedules will become available to be viewed in Self Service after August 1st. Students that need to change their initial schedules may do so with the advisors in the Academic Resource Center after August 1st and through the end of the add period on September 10th.

*Initial class schedules are tentative and may change up until the start of classes.  

 

Preparation

Shortly before your registration appointment, the Registrar's Office will send you more details to help you prepare for your appointment. Be on the lookout in your Maritime email for this communication.  Using your Math and English placement you will be sent a personalized list of the classes you need to take your first semester.

Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate Scores

At Massachusetts Maritime Academy we are committed to helping you build on your prior educational experiences. Students are able to transfer in various forms of credit toward their degrees. We accept dual enrollment credits taken in high school and  AP credit from Exams of 3 or higher  or IB High level examinations of 4 or 5.  Please send scores before August 1st.

Transfer and Dual Enrollment Credits

Credits from other institutions, including Dual Enrollment credits, require an official transcript to be sent to the registrar’s office prior to August 1st. Students must earn a C or higher in the course to be eligible for credit and the course content must be comparable in scope to coursework offered at the Academy.
 

To receive credit for your college courses, make sure to send an official copy of your college transcript to the Academy. MMA accepts official electronic transcripts, but they must come directly from the institution/their transcript processor (use the email registrar@maritime.edu if required). Official paper transcripts can be mailed to the school at MMA Registrar’s office, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.
