11/06/09 The 15th Annual Admiral's Ball

The Fifteenth Annual Admiral's Ball will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the InterContinental Boston Hotel. Massachusetts Maritime Academy is proud to honor Mr. Robert D. Somerville, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ABS as its Maritime Person of the Year. Founded in 1862, ABS is a leading international classification society devoted to promoting the security of life, property, and the marine environment through the development and verification of standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine-related facilities.

Last year's Ball sold out early and this year's is sure to do the same. The Academy has reserved a block of 50 rooms for this gala event, but they will go fast! Please call (800) 327-0200 and refer to Group Code FM3 to reserve your overnight accommodations. MMA has secured a room rate of $225.00 for single or double occupancy. This rate is valid when reservation is made prior to October 7. After that date, rooms will be available at rack rate.
