    December 29, 2014 - On September 14, 2014, 1/C Gale McGilvray, Plymouth South High School (MA), Class of 2011, 1/C Jillian Stronk, Cheshire High School (CT), Class of 2011, 1/C Alexander Geist of Acton-Boxborough High School (MA), Class of 2011, and Ensign Sarah Lewis of Barrington High School (RI), Class of 2003, (all MMA Marine Engineering majors) made their way to the Great White North to participate in the OCEANS Engineering Conference in St. John’s Newfoundland.

    November 24, 2014 - 4/c Patrick Kearney started fishing when he was 3 years old. He grew up soaking bait with family and friends and when he turned 12, started working summers as a mate on the WHITE CAP and later on the FORTUNA and ELIZABETH MARIE out of Scituate Harbor. When it came time for the BC High School grad 2013 to make a decision on selecting a college, the choice was easy.

    Even In Rough Seas

    November 17, 2014 - The Coastal America Foundation recently awarded cadet Alyssa Palmer the Student Marine Scientist of 2014 Award and a $500 stipend. “She exemplifies the dedication it takes to get marine science data from the field to the laboratory, even in rough seas,” noted William Hubbard, Executive Director and Director of Marine Science for the Foundation.
