Exemptions from Accuplacer Examination at MMA

Students who score 3 or above in advanced placement calculus are exempt from the mathematics portion of the Accuplacer examination.

Students who score 3 or above in advanced placement English are exempt from the Reading Comprehesion and WritePlacer Plus portion of the Accuplacer examination.

Transfer Students

Transfer students who have taken college courses at other institutions should ensure that their transcripts are sent to the Admissions Office. It is generally advisable to take the Accuplacer to determine which course is appropriate for your level of academic preparation, regardless of whether you have taken courses elsewhere. The examination will provide you with a more accurate measure of your preparedness than a transcript will. Only the Registrar can exempt a student from Accuplacer by reviewing a transcript.

To properly document any Accuplacer exemption, a student should have the relevant scores forwarded to the MMA Registrar, Michael Cuff. The scores may be mailed or Faxed to Mr. Cuff. His contact information appears below:
