Students at the Academy are offered a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Many of the clubs on campus are organized by cadet special-interest groups and obtain their charters through the Student Government Association. One of the popular clubs the SGA sponsors is the Sport Fishing Club. There are 32 students that are involved within the club. They go on fishing trip almost every weekend and catch anything from yellow fin tuna, blue fin tuna, stripers and bass. The boat they use was donated through our Yacht and Boat Donation Program. We are currently using a 1985 Black Fin 32’ “Triple Net”. To view some recent footage shot on catching some yellow fin, check out the YouTube Site.
