General responsibilities:Teach courses in maritime business area, including Business of Shipping, Chartering and Brokerage, Marine Insurance and related electives. The curriculum may be viewed online at the following web address http://www.maritime.edu/index.cfm?pg=5578. Advise college level students, assist with development of newly established IMB Center on campus. Assist with the development of an IMB graduate program. Participate in college-wide governance and Department Committees. Assist with co-op programs, advisory boards, open houses. Participate in annual Sea Term program (optional).
Qualifications and requirements: Terminal degree in business discipline with maritime focus/experience. Demonstrated potential to fulfill the applicable evaluation criteria of teaching and advising.
Preferred Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a business area and demonstrated research. Proven teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels. Experience in teaching in an online format.
Salary:Commensurate with experience and subject to the MSCA collective bargaining agreement plan.
