Massachusetts Maritime Academy - A College That's Worth It Admissions - A College That's Worth It

Benjamin Franklin once said “An investment in knowledge pays the best in interest.” Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduates are among the top 2% in the country who reap the rewards of an education well earned.

In today’s economy student debt is on the rise and fewer graduates are securing employment opportunities worthy of their education. The Washington Post recently submitted an article on the negative impacts of student debt on the US economy.  According to this article the percentage of students in debt, and the average debt burden, have both nearly doubled in the last 10 years.

MMA however, has ranked among the 150 colleges out of 3,500 in the USA that is worth the investment! Former Secretary of Education William Bennett, author of Is College Worth It, compiled a list of colleges in the USA that had a positive “return on investment” or ROI. MMA ranked #1 for ROI among all public institutions in New England.  Nationally among all public and private institutions, MMA ranked #63 for in-state tuition and #74 for out-of-state tuition.

The top ten schools on the list included Ivy League schools like Princeton University, Harvard University, and Dartmouth College. MMA however scored higher than other popularly chosen schools such as Bentley University, Providence College and Boston College.

Looks like an education at Massachusetts Maritime Academy really is worth the investment!
