Q. What could 13,500-tons of floating steel mean to you and your students?

A. The opportunity to visit the countries best maritime college during its annual 6-week Sea Term on the 550' Training Ship Kennedy!

We invite you to join us in the port of New Orleans for an exciting Open Ship where our cadets will tour you through the vessel after which you can enjoy light refreshments and meet with Academy Admissions personnel.

Tour times will be Monday January 21 at 10am and 2pm and Tuesday January 22 at 10am. Prior registration is required and for proper safety and security guests will be subject to all rules and regulations per the Captain and the NOLA Port Authority.

Registration for this event is closed.

Registration requirements:
Adults: Name, date of birth, and ID#
Children: Name, date of birth, and adult chaperon

Upon arrival, guests will be required to show:

  • Adults: Provide photo ID, DOB and matching #
  • Children: Nothing more than verbal announcement of name, and attesting chaperon.

Guests will also be issued Visitor Badges (Escort Required) and will have a TWIC-holding guide at a 10:1 ratio. All guests should be prepared to allow search of bags as directed by the Vessel Security Officer.

This policy is applicable for all visitation under MARSEC 1 and 2.
If MARSEC 3 is declared, all visitation shall be cancelled.
