Camps & Conferences Event Coordinator (Contract Position) The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Camps & Conferences Department Responsible for supporting all activities that relate to marketing and coordination of services for the conference operations, including all staffing requirements, residence hall supervision for summer groups and regular academic year conferences, and coordination of food service requirements and special requests. Additionally, act as liaison and coordinator with various departments and outside customers. May be assigned other duties as required. Applicants must possess the following qualifications: Associates degree required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in event coordination. Ability to take an active role in marketing programs. Ability to respond to routine customer requirements. Ability to exercise judgment in handling behavior problems. Ability to maintain proper accounts and records including inventory. Demonstration of strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Strong public relation skills in oral and written communication. Strong organizational skills. This is a part-time non-benefited contract position. This is a twelve month position with the majority of events occurring during the summer months to include nights and weekends.
