Position:  Recreation Facilities Supervisor II

General Statement of Duties: This multifaceted position will work with student-athletes, cadets, and staff in addition to purchasing, distributing, and performing inventory on equipment for all NCAA teams.  

Responsibilities: Issue equipment to student-athletes and collect equipment after each season, while processing monetary charges for lost equipment. Recondition athletic equipment, make travel arrangements for athletics teams, and supervise work study students. Assist the Facilities Department with maintenance of athletic fields as well as repairing and painting equipment, apparatus and buildings. Ensure proper upkeep and cleanliness of facilities, including cleaning showers and rest rooms. Prepare bid specification for equipment, materials and supplies for purchase. Purchase athletics equipment for intercollegiate and intramural programs.

Qualifications: Knowledge of inventory procedures and methods. Ability to maintain routine records. Ability to implement and coordinate multiple locations regarding athletics events. Ability to develop policy regarding the operation and maintenance of Clean Harbors Center, Clean Harbors Stadium, Commodore Hendy Field and Alison Rollins Field. Ability to assist in planning, assigning and coordinating all NCAA varsity athletic events. Knowledge of types and uses of hand-held power tools, small hand tools, grounds keeping supplies and equipment. Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects and possess physical stamina and endurance. Must have the ability to supervise work study students. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in the maintenance and/or repair of recreational facilities or in recreational management. A certificate, diploma, or degree of at least a two-year program above the high school level in building construction technology, electrical engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology or mechanical power engineering may be substituted for the required experience. Education towards such a program will be prorated.

Salary:  Biweekly:  $1339.44 (Grade 14/Step 1)       Annual:  $34,825.44 (Grade 14/Step 1)

*Shift & Days Off: M-F 1:00 PM-9:30 PM. Regularly required to work overtime weekend hours.

*Initial assignment only – subject to change according to Administration.
