  • 0800-0900 Welcome & Check - In Blinn Building
  • 0800-1100 Tours of the “ABS Information Commons” and Ship Simulator
  • 0900-1000 Sea Term 2015 Brief - Admiral’s Hall (for parents of freshmen in Companies 1, 3, 5 & 7)
  • 0900-1000 MMA Parent’s Association - Blinn Hall (for parents of freshmen in Companies 2, 4 & 6)
  • 0900-1200 T.S. Kennedy Tours - T.S. Kennedy (meet at the bottom of Kennedy gangway)
  • 1000-1100 Sea Term 2015 Brief - Admiral’s Hall (for parents of freshmen in Companies 2, 4 & 6)
  • 1000-1100 MMA Parent’s Association - Blinn Hall (for parents of freshmen in Companies 1, 3, 5 & 7)
  • 1030-1230 Cookout - Pande Hall
  • 1300 Recognition Ceremony - Maritime Park

Presentations

Sea Term 2015: Captain Tom Bushy and Captain Ed Rozak will explain the Sea Term itinerary and training rotation for those cadets embarked onboard the T.S. Kennedy.  Their presentation concludes with a question and answer opportunity to get all your concerns addressed.

MMA Parent’s Association:  MMAPA President, Leanne Avakian, will explain the function and fun associated with being the parent of a Massachusetts Maritime Academy cadet.

Cookout:   A cookout will be held free of charge for all guests during Family Day.  Cadets are included. 

4/C Recognition Ceremony:  This is the highlight of the day for the Class of 2018.  The Cadet Candidates at this point will have completed all necessary assignments to be recognized as Fourth Class (4/C) Cadets.  Admiral Gurnon will officially recognize the class as full-fledged members of the Regiment of Cadets.
