Massachusetts Maritime Academy - Docking Fees Spectacle Island Marina - Docking Fees

Spectacle Island Marina will provide daytime (Sunday through Friday) as well as daytime Saturday and may be available for Saturday overnight dockage for visiting boaters. The marina will maintain the following price structure.

Day Docking:      Docking at floats is available daily from 10:0 AM until 6:00 PM.  Boats 26-feet and under, dock for a basis fee of $20.  Boats 27-feet or greater will be charged the basis fee, plus $2 per foot above 26-feet. Example, a 30-foot boat will be charged $28 – computed as $20 + (30 – 26 * 2) = $28.  Docking fees are waived for load-on of load-off of guests, no more than 15 minutes.  There is no provision for fractional times.

Overnight Docking:  Docking at floats available from 6:00 PM until 09:30AM may be available Saturday nights and July 4th.  Special overnight dockings can be arranged for yacht clubs and/or regattas.  Boats 26-feet and under dock for a basis fee of $30. Boats 27-feet or greater will be charged the basis fee, plus $3 per foot above 26-feet. Example, a 30-foot boat will be charged $42 – computed as $30 + (30 – 26 * 3) = $42.

Notes:

1.    At this time the mooring buoys at Spectacle Island Marina are not being rented by the marina operator.  Boaters may moor to the moorings using their own tackle, and at their own risk.

Boaters may dock for a full 24-hour period, but will be charged the full day and overnight rate. Example, a 30-foot boat will be charged $28 for the day, and $42 overnight, totaling $70.  Boats arriving late in the day for an overnight (in other words, around 5:00 PM) may dock without a day charge provided there exists sufficient slip availability.

Boaters are expected to provide no more than five feet of space between their boats and boats ahead and astern.

Dock attendants may, with or without the owner present, be required to shift docked boats to facilitate more docking slips.

Boats that are docked may permit rafting for a friend’s boats, but the rafter boat will pay the same docking rate.  Rafting will not be permitted if the rafting limits other boat owners’ maneuverability, or the docking ability of emergency service boats.
