Massachusetts Maritime Academy - Sea Science Leadership Program 2012 Admissions - Sea Science Leadership Program 2012
Date(s): July 29 to August 1, 2012

The mission of the Sea, Science and Leadership Program (SSLP) at Massachusetts Maritime Academy is to provide high school students with interactive, educational workshops that build confidence, challenge decision-making skills, and develop and strengthen leadership qualities. SSLP promotes an environment rich in teamwork, support and respect for others. SSLP will immerse participants in the educational and regimental lifestyles of a cadet through hands-on workshops that include the use of ship-handling simulators, small boats, an emergency management control room, engineering labs, and the T.S. Kennedy.

SSLP will prepare you for the college admissions process, build life-long friendships and educate participants on the opportunities Massachusetts Maritime Academy offers. SSLP participants stay on campus and will experience a moderately regimented structure led by some of the Academy’s finest cadets while learning the true meaning of the cadet honor code: discipline, knowledge and leadership.
While at SSLP, you will work with your peers through exercises that teach you the importance of communication, listening and camaraderie as a team. SSLP is designed to be challenging and a lot of fun!
The SSLP Registration fee of $425.00 includes your 3 night stay on campus, all meals and activities, a SSLP Sea-Bag with 2 t-shirts, a water bottle, SSLP Knowledge Book and SSLP carabineer.
