Keeping eyes on the prize, senior cadet leadership provides direction, leadership, and motivation for cadet candidates – all in pursuit of the coveted Admirals Cup prize which is awarded at the end of the two-week orientation.
Broken down into seven categories, Admirals Cup consists of; knowledge, esprit de corps, intra-mural activities, physical training, team building, marching, and monomy racing. During the two-weeks of Orientation, the Commandants Staff, who provides overall leadership and guidance for all cadets, monitor the standings for each of the seven companies. They work with cadet staff to make sure the cadet candidates are being properly prepared and stay competitive. This year, the overall winner of Admirals Cup, whose cadet candidates scored the highest points was 6th Company. Lead by Company Officer, LCDR Edgar Pinero and senior cadets Joshua Roberts (Springfield, MA), Company Commander, and Kyle McCormack (Tyngsboro, MA), Executive Officer.
