Not to be confused with the soap opera … but a way to describe the role Regimental staff plays in day-to-day Academy life. The office of Regimental Commander, top ranking senior, is self explanatory and is filled each year by a cadet who has earned the title through diligence and hard work. The Regimental Executive Officer, senior cadet, second in command, is responsible for training and discipline.
Regimental Commander for the 2010-2011, 1/C Alex R. Jarvis, hails from Westminster, MA, a graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School (Fitchburg, MA) he is now majoring in Marine Engineering. Following in his brother Ross’s shoes seemed the smart thing to do. Ross, a 2006 MMA grad, was also Regimental Commander and currently is employed by Bluefin Robotics as a Marine Operations Engineer. The thing I like the most about the Academy is how different it is from ALL other colleges. Anyone who graduates from this institution really gets two degrees, one for their major and one for leadership training.” Alex noted. “Though the majors offered here will take us far in life, it is our leadership training that separates us from the pack and allows us to do anything we want,” he continued.
