After completing the General Education Requirements in Science and Mathematics students will be able to:

1. apply basic concepts of matter to technology, health, and environmental issues;

2. interpret physical events in a rational manner;

3. solve problems of a quantitative nature through the use of algorithms and logical thought; and

4. use mathematics, including Calculus and technology, in problem solving.
