Veteran honors lives of two missing Green Berets
There is one way that Veterans Day will be like many other days for retired Air Force Brigadier General John Flanagan. He will think, as he often does, about two soldiers he served with in Vietnam more than 40 years ago. They will not be happy thoughts.
Flanagan, who has owned houses in Falmouth since 1965, is like other veterans who have lived to tell - or not tell - about their experiences in combat. They are proud that they served and glad - sometimes with accompanying guilt - that they survived. They...[more]

Hot Hobby!
...and part time passion for Rob Munstis, Whitman-Hanson Regional High, '97 and MMA, '01.
He turned his Marine Science and Environmental Protection degree into something unique indeed. Today he is a Marketing Manager for a Weymouth, MA manufacturing company and, in his spare time, author of a well known sports blog [Red Sox], The Bottom Line.
A sports nut from birth, Munstis excelled at both track and soccer during high school and college. "After graduating from MMA, I was offered a rare opportunity to ...[more]

2005 grad and Marine Transportation major, Hedi Marzougui, is working his way through the huge selection of ships owned by his employer Sealift, with an amazing gusto! "They have such a varied fleet, I get to learn new things with every assignment," Marzougui reported. Copper River Cool!
Danielle MacPhee, Norton High School class of 2004 and MMA '08, is sitting pretty on the banks of the Copper River in Alaska. Well...she doesn't actually do much sitting, but she does do a lot of fishing. As Fisheries Research Technician for the Native Village of Eyak, she catches and tags Chinook and Sockeye salmon in an effort to estimate the total population of each. Stats go to the State Fisheries so they can estimate allowable catch numbers.
Danielle stumbled on the job while searching online. Nex...[more]

Follow the Leaders
Regimental staff are first and foremost cadet leaders. They are also responsible for some pretty serious peer administration duty. The Regimental Commander is the senior cadet at the Academy and commands the Regiment "in the highest possible state of efficiency", a tall order indeed. The Regimental Executive Officer, second in command, is responsible for the training, discipline and military smartness of the Regiment. And so it goes - with approximately seventy-five campus leadership positions, covering d...[more]
